A sea of pink washed over the Horsham Soundshell on Sunday morning as locals showed their support for the Mother's Day Classic.

Organiser Jackie Exell said it was an amazing day with a great turnout.

"We had a foggy and chilly start but it turned into a beautiful morning," she said.

Around 300 people registered for the event either online or on the day.

"Online registrations surpassed last year's.

"We had between 40 to 50 people register on the day."

Prizes were given to the best dressed individual and the best dressed team based on the biggest cheer each person received from the crowd.

Since 1998 the Mother's Day Classic has raised over $44 million for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and now also raises money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

"Unfortunately ovarian cancer kills more women than breast cancer," Ms Exell said.

Ms Exell said overall it was a great fundraising effort, with one individual raising over $1000 for the two causes.

"Fundraising isn't expected but it's much appreciated," she said.

Although Mother's Day has now passed for another year, donations and fundraisers are still welcome to contribute until June 30.
