Students honour local WWII heroes with tribute booklet
The Grade 5 and 6 students spent three to four weeks researching the lives of soldiers whose names are listed on the Rainbow Cenotaph.

Friends of the RSL member Peter Ralph, who assisted the students during their research, praised their effort.
"The main thing was they had to look up army and air force files from Canberra, where a lot of records were in handwriting," he said.
Mr Ralph said that while the booklet contains the "bare bones" of each serviceman's story, further work will explore the human side of their lives.
"Allira Roberts from the Historical Society intends to follow that up from a truly historical point of view — community, social, all those things," Mr Ralph said.
The booklets are not for free distribution, but community members are welcome to read a copy at designated locations.
Mr Ralph said printed versions could be made available for purchase in the future.
