The clash between Laharum and Swifts will help shape the HDFNL top five.

Both sides currently have eight wins to their name, with Laharum fourth on the ladder and the Swifts in sixth because of percentage.

With fifth-placed Kaniva Leeor favoured to win their game against Taylors Lake, the loser of the clash between the Demons and the Swifts will most likely be out of the top five with just three rounds to go.

The Swifts enter Saturday coming off the bye and will hope to continue their winning momentum, having defeated Rupanyup, Edenhope Apsley, and Natimuk United prior to their week off.

Laharum have had some mixed results against tougher competition leading into Saturday, losing to Harrow Balmoral, defeating Kalkee, before losing to Pimpinio in round 14.

Favouring the Demons on Saturday will be their home-ground advantage and their previous win over the Swifts, an 86-60 victory in early May.

But the Demons are amidst an ongoing struggle with injury and unavailability, while the Swifts will feel refreshed.

Both sides have some challenging games to finish the season, meaning the result of Saturday’s clash carries weight in determining whether either team plays finals football.
