Telstra have said it has "made good progress restoring services, with around 90 percent of calls and data now flowing successfully across the network".
Telstra have said it has "made good progress restoring services, with around 90 percent of calls and data now flowing successfully across the network".

From about 4.30am this morning, Telstra mobile network users across the country reported disruptions to their services, with normal calls and internet data unreliable or completely absent – the issue peaking between about 6.30 and 7.30am.
Telstra has claimed “around 90 per cent of calls and data now flowing successfully across the network”, but the extent of the resolution is unknown.
The cause has not yet been determined, but does not appear to be malicious.
Emergency calls to 000 have remained largely operational, as they follow “different settings” in the network, but are investigating reports of a small number of calls failing.
Telstra has advised for customers to persist if ordinary calls fail and apologised for the disruption.
“Our teams are working as quickly as possible to restore remaining services and get all customers back online,” they said.
“We know how much our customers rely on our network and understand just how much of a disruption this is to your day. For that we're so sorry.”
V/Line buses appear to not be affected by the outage but passengers travelling to connecting train services at Ararat or Ballarat should be aware they may not be able to continue the journey, as replacement coaches are limited.
