Telstra maintenance to cause temporary shutdown
Telstra will be conducting faulty rectification works on its mobile site that services Galaquil and Beulah from Tuesday November 26 to Saturday November 30 and will result in the site needing to be switched off for short periods during the day.
Text messages will be sent out to customers regarding the upcoming work with mobile services in the area set to be temporarily affected
Customers can continue to make calls and texts during the disruption by switching on WI-FI calling, a free setting on most popular mobile phones which allows the phone to make and receive calls while connected to WI-FI.
Telstra encourages business owners to chat to their bank about connecting EFTPOS terminals to NBN or WI-FI to prevent delays in processing transactions.
Landline services, NBN internet and mobile coverage from other providers will not be impacted.
