Thunder hunting for a win
Southern Mallee Thunder will be looking to break a losing streak this Saturday in round seven of the Wimmera Football Netball League.
But it will be a challenge for the side, currently placed seventh on the ladder, as they will battle it out with Nhill, who are second and have dropped only one match this season.
Thunder lost to Ararat a fortnight ago by 52 points and Horsham Saints last Saturday, 8.5 (53) to 14.6 (90).
On the contrary, Nhill has defeated Stawell by 27 points and Warrack 13.13 (91) to 10.13 (73) over the past couple of weeks.
Both sides have goal kickers in the current top 10 for the league, Nhill with Drew Schneider, who has booted 16 goals this season (fourth), and Thunder with Brayden Ison, who has kicked 11 (ninth).
A victory will see Nhill stay ahead of the pack, with Dimboola, Minyip Murtoa, Horsham Saints and Stawell all four points behind them, while a win for the Thunder will see them move to 12 points, which is the point score the four mentioned sides are currently sitting on.
