Tight matches the theme in round nine
The Juniors had an abundance of close matches in round nine of the Warracknabeal Amateur Association last Friday night.

Cubs and Olympics under-13 boys kicked the night off with a one point thriller with Olympics prevailing 28-27. Isaac Credlin scored 20 points in the win whilst Laikyn Holland also scored 20 for Cubs.
Hudson Roche's 16 points led Slabs to an easy 10 point win over Katz, 27-17. Charlie Slater scored seven points for Katz.
In the girls, Cubs and Olympics shared another thriller, this time a 20-20 draw. Alleah Elliott and Pippa Shannon both scored 10 points a-piece for Cubs whilst Fergie Kennedy also shot 10 for Olympics.
In the other match, like the boys, Slabs had a comprehensive 34-10 win over Katz. Harlow Krahe had a game high 24 points in the win whilst Ruby Loats and Matilda Drage scored four a-piece for Katz.
The under-15 boys kicked off with a draw between Cubs and Katz. Hayden Polack scored 30 points for Cubs whilst Charlie Williams shot 11 for Katz in the 33-33 scoreline. Meanwhile 11 points to Tyler Preston led Gazelles to a 40-27 win over Olympics, led by Karter Nitschke with seven points.
The girls featured another tight match between Olympics and Gazelles with Olympics winning 25-22. Piper Knorpp shot 17 points in the win whilst Georgia Evans led the way with 10 for Gazelles. In the other match, 24 points to Amalee Livingston led Cubs to a massive 50-27 win over Katz. Eedie Rowe scored 12 points in the loss.
The under-21 boys featured a tight match between Slabs and Katz with Slabs winning 52-49. Koby Hallam led the way with 22 points in the win whilst Jed Koschitzke scored 14 for Katz. Cubs, meanwhile, had a 47-35 win over Olympics. Lachlan Stein led the way for Cubs whilst Matthew Golder shot a game high 16 points for Olympics.
Satine Malcolm's 19 points led Slabs to a 33-28 win over Katz. Airlie Garlick shot 11 points for the Katz. Olympics secured a 43-18 win over Cubs in the other fixture. Abby Griffiths led the cubs with 14 points whilst Isabella Orszulak scored nine for Cubs.
The Women's seniors didn't play in round nine on Monday so it was the men in action on Tuesday with three games.
Wildcats and Olympics played off in a mouth watering top-of-the-table clash to kick the evening off. Both teams went into the game with five wins for the season and they didn't disappoint.
Olympics got off to a flyer through Matthew Golder and Samuel Cooper taking a 16-9 point lead into the break.
Wildcats showed their class in the second half, however, through Jeremy Williamson, Jarve Beney and Timothy McCormick they scored 27 points to Olympics 14 to win by six points, 36-30.
Williamson finished with 11 points whilst Golder had a game high 16.
The second clash between Cubs and Slabs was a mid-table clash with both teams coming in with three wins for the season. Cubs were on top all match winning by 12 points, 45-33.
Daniel Hunter led the way for Cubs with a game high 15 points whilst Dan McKenzie shot 10 for Slabs. The win moves the Cubs to third place.
The final match was between Katz and bottom played Gazelles. Gazelles took it up to them and came with a late run on, but fell three points short losing 35-38.
Dylan Watts shot a game high 17 points for Katz whilst Lachie Stewart shot 15 for Gazelles.
The juniors play round ten tonight with action kicking off at 4pm before the season halts for the break.
