Tink club champ for second year in a row
It's been a big week for bowling at Serviceton.

It's been a big week for bowling at Serviceton.
On Monday the midweek pennant team travelled to play Coughlin Park 2 in Horsham and arrived home victorious by 26 shots.
On Thursday night two of Serviceton's three teams playing for the Grosser Shield at Mundulla won their games and the third team only lost by a couple of shots.
After this first round Serviceton sits in third position.
The next round of this competition between Bordertown, Mundulla, Kaniva and Serviceton will be held at home at Serviceton.
On Saturday November 9, in the morning 10 men played the first rounds of the Serviceton club men’s singles championship.
The final four men met on Sunday to play the finals.
These matches were all very close and very exciting bowling to watch.
Jeff Palmer defeated Leon Tink and Ian Tink defeated Darren Merrett .
The final between Jeff and Ian drew quite a few onlookers.
This was a replay of last year’s final between the same two players.
The winner is the first player to gain 25 shots.
They scored only ones or twos with Ian gradually pulling ahead.
With the score 16-9, Jeff added three, then Ian three shots, Jeff six more in two ends, and they were 19-18, then 20-all, both on 21 shots, and then both on 22 shots with Ian going on to win the championship for the second year in a row.
The Saturday club bowls winners were Billy Jo Shawcross, Bev Makin and Jayne Miles.
Next Saturday November 14, in the morning the first rounds of the club mixed 100Up competition will be played.
If necessary it will be finalised on Sunday or on another date agreed.
