Tinks return for social bowls
On Saturday November 15 president Leon Tink welcomed back life member Alan Tink and Glenda to play Serviceton club bowls that afternoon.
Winners for the day were Billy Jo Shawcross and Ian Tink.
On Saturday morning the first two rounds the mixed 100 up competition were held.
There were 14 entries playing some very close rounds, with four members left to play the finals next Saturday.
These are Loma Wallis, Darryl Grosser, Mark Shawcross and Leon Tink.
In midweek pennant on Tuesday November 11 Serviceton travelled to Horsham to play Sunnyside and defeated them by seven shots.
Serviceton are on top of the ladder now and their next match is against the new-to-the-competition team Horsham Golf, who are second on the premiership ladder.
We are looking forward to playing them at Serviceton on Tuesday November 28.
Congratulations to the Wimmera Playing Area ladies' team on winning the Wimmera Region Round Robin Shield played at Coughlin Park Bowling Club in Horsham on Sunday November 16 in wind and rain.
Loma Wallis and Gwen Colwill were pleased to be part of the Wimmera team and don the Wimmera shirts.
Teams played against were from the North Wimmera, Grampians and North Central playing areas.
On Saturday November 22 all will be welcome to Serviceton's barbecue tea.
Members are asked to take along a salad to share.
