The fire danger rating is extreme, meaning residents can expect hot, dry, and windy conditions.
The forecasted fire danger rating for Friday is expected to decrease to High.
No fires can be lit or allowed to remain alight in the open air from 12.01am until 11.59pm.

The Mallee Fire District covers the north of the Yarriambiack Shire, plus the Buloke, Gannawarra, Mildura and Swan Hill municipalities.
