On the weekend November 21-23 three Horsham players – Lorna Schilling, Kevin (Macca) McDonald and Peter Miller – participated in the VMSA Squash Masters Tournament at Ballarat Squash.
They played three matches each, having some really good squash against players from all over but unfortunately they didn't come away with any extra goods.
Schilling went to five sets in all three matches in section four, losing to the eventual winner of the consolation plate event.
In section six McDonald was unlucky to draw the eventual overall winner in the opening round, where he pushed his Ballarat opponent to five sets before being defeated.
He later reached the consolation plate final, where he went down 13-15 in the fifth set.
Also in sn section six, Miller was a semi-finalist in the plate, beaten in three close sets by the eventual winner.
