Up to $250,000 per club on offer
Football and netball clubs across the Wimmera Mallee are being encouraged to put their hands up for a share of Victorian Government funding to improve their facilities.
Member for Northern Victoria Gaelle Broad said all clubs, associations and umpiring organisations throughout the region were eligible to apply for the latest round of grants under the state's Country Football and Netball Program.
"Applications can be made for grants of up to $250,000 to develop facilities," Broad said.
"Potential projects could include new change rooms, upgrades to lighting or improved water efficiency."
Broad described grassroots football and netball as "the backbone of many regional communities"
"Having great facilities encourages more participation and in turn provides great social and health benefits,” she said.
Applications for the current round of the Country Football and Netball program will close on Monday July 7.
Clubs must register their interest through their local council.
