Vale Robin Letts OAM
Robin Letts OAM, the revered editor of The Buloke Times, passed away on Wednesday, August 12.
One of country journalism’s great servants, The Buloke Times editor Robin Letts OAM, passed away on Wednesday, August 12.
For almost eight decades, Mr Letts chronicled the life and sport of Donald and surrounding districts, continuing a remarkable family tradition in country journalism.
Mr Letts began with the Donald newspaper in 1947 at age 17.
Following in the footsteps of his father, G.W.L. "Goff" Letts, Robin became the editor in 1987.

In 2003, Robin was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the Donald community through numerous service and sporting groups and for contributing to the local newspaper.
Few careers in country journalism can have been so closely intertwined with a single newspaper, a single district and the generations of readers it served.
