Van Zyl's excellent season

Rupanyup's Ilze Van Zyl has had a tremendous season. She scored 480 goals in 17 games in the 15-and-under and a further 326 in 15 games in B-grade games while also making her senior debut this season. She has also been part of the representative team and on Saturday, not only won her first premiership, but was also awarded best on the court.

She was excited after winning the premiership and being awarded best on the court.

"It feels great. It was a team effort, and I couldn't be happier for my team," Van Zyl said.

"The whole team had a great feeling today, and it wouldn't have happened without the team effort.

"I was nervous coming in, but not too nervous. I trusted my team and knew we could do it."

When asked why she liked netball and where she would like it to take her, Van Zyl said she wants to improve.

"I like netball because it's a great way to bond with people and a great sport, and I love its competitiveness. I want to improve my netball more and get better."
