Veteran golfers out in force
It was another great day at the Wimmera Veteran Golfers' event, with 46 competing on Monday August 4 at Murtoa, including 12 ladies.
It was another great day at the Wimmera Veteran Golfers' event, with 46 competing on Monday, August 4 at Murtoa, including 12 ladies.
It was enough for two divisions again this week.
A Division
Winner with the best score of the day was Ron Thouliss (Warracknabeal) with a fantastic score of 41points; runner-up was Anthony Jones (Moor Park) with 38; and third went to Karen Germano (Warracknabeal) with 35 points on a four-way countback.
B Division
Winner with 39 points was Val Scott (Horsham); runner-up was Wayne Morton (Jeparit) with 38 points; and third place went to Rex Konig (Hopetoun) with 37 points on a countback.
