Veterans turn out in force at Edenhope
Wimmera Veteran Golfers had a fantastic day on Monday November 10 at Edenhope, although there were only a few standout stars on the day.
It was a great turnout with 53 players, including 20 ladies, and we had some star lady scores.
Two divisions played on the day.
The A grade winner with 41 points was Margaret Warren (Edenhope) ahead of runner-up with another great score of 36 points, Debbie Burton (Donald).
Third went to Andrew Koop (Nhill) with 32 points, on a three-way countback.
The B grade winner was Tony Kernick (Moor Park) with 34 points.
The runner-up was Greg Schultz (Natimuk) with 33 points from Janie Farran (Edenhope) with 31 points.
Nearest the pins: 4th Debbie Burton (Donald) and David Ryan (Nhill), 7th Chris Heenan (Edenhope) and Graeme Launer (Nhill), 12th Andrew Koop (Nhill) and Debbie Burton again, and 16th Liz Kealy (Edenhope) and Ron Thoulis (Warracknabeal).
Congratulations to all the winners for the day, and a big thank you to the Edenhope volunteers for looking after everyone.
The next event will be next Monday November 17 at Warracknabeal, where the format will be 4BBB, so organise a partner or ask David to endeavour to find you one on the day.
Wimmera Veteran Golfers' last event for the season will be at Horsham Golf Club on Monday December 8.
