Vika and Linda bring new tour to Horsham
To celebrate the release of their new album on June 5, iconic Australian duo Vika and Linda have announced a tour, which includes a concert at Horsham Town Hall.

With their band, The Bullettes, the pair will treat the audience to songs from their new album, combined with songs and stories from their career.
After a lifetime of lending their voices to other people's stories, Vika and Linda, who have just been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, have declared this new era marks a defining moment: the sisters stepping forward to tell their own story in full.
While the pair have written at different points across their career, Where Do You Come From? will be their first album of predominantly original material since Princess Tabu (1996), a return to songwriting rekindled by writing their 2022 memoir No Bull.
The single began with a memory the sisters have carried since childhood.
Growing up in Melbourne, they were asked the same question repeatedly: “Where do you come from?” and when they answered, “here”, the response often came back: “No, where do you really come from?”.
The single came to life with longtime collaborator Mark Seymour, whom Vika handed her lyrics to, trusting him to help shape them into a powerful track about belonging and identity.
The album also features contributions from Ben Salter, Glenn Richards, Helen Shanahan, Mark Seymour and Cameron Bruce, each bringing their own voice and perspective to the sisters’ most personal body of work to date.
As Vika explained, it isn't a fluffy or light record.
"It’s real life, mistakes, forgiveness and trying to find some peace," she said.
“Every record has mattered,” Linda said.
"But this time we reached for something deeper.”
Chatting with Wimmera Mallee News, Vika said she has been to Horsham before, but not with Linda.
"I played at your beautiful hall with Debra Byrne in the show 'Tapestry the Songs of Carole King' back in 2017," she said.
"It was a gorgeous venue, and I’m really looking forward to coming back to play with my sister because she’s never played there before."
On a larger scale, regarding the entire tour, Vika said she is looking forward to performing the album to locals everywhere.
"Coming to cool country towns is the best part of touring," she said.
"Meeting the locals, hitting the shops, hitting the pools, we love it."
Linda agreed it was important to bring their shows to areas like Horsham.
"The most important part of our work is getting out there and playing live to audiences in all areas, not just in the city," Linda said.
"That’s what being a touring musician is all about, coming to you – not you having to come to us.
"Particularly now, when times are tough, it’s more important than ever."
Vika and Linda will perform at the Horsham Town Hall on Thursday, June 25, and tickets are available from https://drop.cobrand.com/d/VikaLinda/WhereDoYouComeFromTour.
