Visitors welcome at Serviceton green

In Saturday club bowls at Serviceton on February 21, vice-president Jeff Tink welcomed members and visitors for the day.

The winners were Darryl Grosser, Loma Wallis and Bev Makin.

On Wednesday February 18 the last round of the Grosser Shield was played at Kaniva.

This is a local annual competition between Kaniva, Serviceton, Bordertown and Mundulla, and this year Mundulla took home the shield.

The barbecued chicken, burgers and sausages and serve-yourself salads and desserts were a hit for bowlers and visitors on the night.

Congratulations to the local visitors Lorraine and Ian Povey who celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.

Night social bowls on Thursday nights is always fun.

This year there are many new faces on the green.

It’s great to have so many people learning bowls in such a relaxed atmosphere.
