Warrack market report
Warracknabeal agents yarded 3000 lambs and 350 sheep at last fortnights (July 9) sheep and lamb sale.

The quality of the yarding was excellent with most lambs being from feedlots and having been grain and supplementary fed.
There was a full field of buyers at the rail and competition was strong as processors looked to secure numbers during the low winter supply.
Extra heavy lambs saw an equal Warracknabeal sale yards record of $410 per head for a pen of lambs estimated at 36kg carcass weight.
Trade and medium trade lambs returned rates of $250-$358 per head, light lambs from $200-$248 per head.
Merino lambs also sold to very strong rates with a pen of grain fed merinos selling to $260, with most trade merino lambs ranging from $200-$248 per head.
A smaller complement of sheep yarded due to two major mutton processors not being active which resulted in most sheep averaging from $138-$212.
