Wimmera motorists urged to slow down
MOTORISTS across the Wimmera are being urged to slow down and take care on regional roads over the Melbourne Cup long weekend, with speeding accounting for almost one-third of road fatalities in Victoria this year. Victoria Police will launch Operation Furlong at 12.01 am on Friday, October 30, with officers targeting dangerous driving across Victoria.
Victoria Police will launch Operation Furlong at 12.01 am on Friday, October 30 and it will run until 11.59 pm on Wednesday, November 4.
