Playing at Brim Recreation Reserve, Warracknabeal District batted first but was in early trouble, losing two wickets in the first three overs.

But a captain’s knock of 35 from Lenny Weir and a handy 11 from Jaiden Cooksley helped guide the side to 4/61.

A string of quick wickets had the team at 8/74 before Colt Decker and Denzel Hallam formed a pivotal 56-run partnership.

Colt Decker was eventually dismissed for 23, while Denzel Hallam finished 21 not out as the side was bowled out for 135 in the 37th over.

For Ouyen, Hunter Brown and Nigel Hamilton each finished with two wickets.
