Wedding gowns parade raised $2000
A total of 100 guests attended the historical wedding gown parade and raised more than $2000, organised by Wimmera Hospice Care Auxiliary at Coughlin Park on August 9.

The money raised at the sold-out event will be used to purchase equipment for the Wimmera patients in palliative care.
Gowns from 1938 and 1940 were on display during the event, while a variety of gowns from as far back as the 1960s were paraded by local models.
Auxiliary committee member and MC of the event, Rae Hill, said the response was terrific.
“Everyone really enjoyed the event and they also commented on the quality of our afternoon tea,” she said.
“Our models did a great job parading 17 different gowns.
"The two pre-war gowns were displayed on mannequins due to the fragility of the material.
