Willenabrina CWA

Willenabrina CWA Members have had a busy start to 2025. In February, they hosted the Central Wimmera/Mallee CWA Group conference.

In March, they supported the ‘Fat Farmers’ rural health initiative screening of the movie ‘Just a Farmer’ by providing a light meal to follow the movie.

It was felt this was a good way to raise awareness about mental health wellbeing, one of the ambitions of Victoria’s CWA.

Two members assisted with the CWA stand at the Wimmera Field Days.

The stand was manned by members from West, Central and East Wimmera Groups to promote the work of CWA of Victoria.

Valentine’s Day was the theme for February. The craft was a Floral Heart or a Romantic Poem, which produced several talented poets.

Then, there was the roll call for “Best Date Ever.”

International Officer Jill King gave a comprehensive insight into life, especially the culture and food, in Sri Lanka, the Country of study for 2025.

March guest speaker Warracknabeal Citizen of the Year Dianne Marchment spoke about her journey leading to opening her own Accounting Firm and the continuing challenges of running a business.

The Branch is planning to celebrate Easter with a competition open to the public for an Easter Bonnet or Basket for all age groups.

All entries will be displayed in the Commonwealth Bank window, with more details to be advertised soon.

Roll call of Favourite Chocolate found members enjoy a variety of favourites.
