The Anzac Day Dawn Service will begin at 6.30am on Friday, April 25, at the Horsham and District War Memorial and Cenotaph in Sawyer Park.

The newly appointed Horsham RSL President, Gareth Lane, confirmed that both the Dawn Service and Commencement Service will go ahead.

"Just like every year, we will pay tribute to the servicemen who served and are currently serving in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping missions around the world," he said.

Mr Lane, who took on the role just last Wednesday, will also read 'The Ode' during the morning ceremony.

Lieutenant Tam Tran, the Troop Commander in Horsham (128th Transport Troop/15th Force Support Squadron), is the guest speaker for this year's Anzac Day services.

Mr Tran will deliver a short speech at the Dawn Service and later give a longer address during the Commencement services.

Later in the morning, the Anzac Day March will set off just after 10am from the Horsham RSL branch to Memorial Drive.

As in previous years, the procession will include the local band, army cadet units, defence members, veterans, scouts, CFA, and other community groups, with Victoria Police escorting the parade.

Commencement services are set to run from 11am to 12pm at Sawyer Park.

With around 300 veterans and numerous social members, the Horsham RSL continues to play a significant role in the local community.

Mr Lane encouraged public participation, saying, "We welcome all to come down this ANZAC Day and pay tribute to the national heroes."

The Horsham CFA will also take part in the Anzac Day march with pride, honouring Australians who have served and continue to serve.

Horsham CFA captain Marc Ampt said it was a privilege for the brigade to be part of the Anzac Day March.

"It's a special day that reminds us of the sacrifice so many people made to shape where we are today," he said.

Anzac Day remains a moment for the Horsham community to reflect, remember, and come together in respect and remembrance.
