Warracknabeal Golf Club's Ian Hair, right, won the Wimmera Veteran Golfers annual Three-Way Challenge at Harrow in May.

It was a fantastic turnout, with a total of 78 players, including 26 from the Wimmera.

The Wimmera won last year's challenge, only the second victory in 25 years (the first was in 2013), so everyone was very eager to have back-to-back wins.

And the Wimmera did win the challenge (again) with 33.6, Glenelg was second with 31.3 and Lower South Eastern scored 30.4.

The 26 players representing the Wimmera (men and quite a few ladies) were from Dimboola, Edenhope, Jeparit, Horsham, Minyip, Warracknabeal, Murtoa, Stawell, Natimuk, Moor Park, Nhill and Rainbow.

Well done, Wimmera.

The A grade winner (0-18 handicap) was Wimmera president Ian Hair with 36 points.

Runner-up on a countback went to R Thorlis with 35, third Ken Dancey, fourth Daryl Watson (both also on 35) and fifth Roy McCallum with 32.

B grade winner and best score for the day went to another Wimmera player, Colin McKenzie, with a fantastic 40 points.

Runner-up on 36 points was Trevor Williams, third went to the Wimmera's Val Scott with 34 points, fourth on a countback went to George Donaldson and fifth was Graham Whitman (both with 33 points).

NTPs: 2nd Bryan Dufty, 7th Brian Prosser, 10th Ian Hair and 17th Trevor Williams.

Congratulations, Wimmera and all the day's winners.

A huge thank you to Harrow for hosting a fantastic day.
