Workshop helps farmers future-proof businesses
Hopetoun and district farmers are invited to participate in a free two-day workshop to help ‘future-proof’ your family farm business.

Hosted by Agriculture Victoria and presented by Dr Kate Burke, the session enables participants of all experience levels to learn adaptive planning skills.
Dr Burke is an independent farm consultant, agri-strategist and educator with extensive experience across technical, commercial and people-focused aspects of farm business management.
She will provide insights into crucial farm success factors such as people, leadership and succession.
Across the two days, participants will develop practical strategies including managing climate variability and uncertainty, optimising productivity, and improving farm financial performance.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to determine what's most important, prioritise and plan, improve productivity, and identify strategies for balancing growth and risk.
Participants can also review their business plans in one-on-one sessions following the workshop.
The ‘future-proof your family farm business’ workshop will be held from Thursday, September 3, to Friday, September 4, at the Hopetoun Golf Club, Hopetoun-Rainbow Road.
